Thanks for your recent email.

While the Councilwoman has made clear her support for PAVE, we remain concerned about DOEs plans to move ahead with siting PAVE in PS 15. We understand that PAVE deserves a place to call home, but we also understand what PS 15 has gone through, the incredible strides they have made over the years, and the concerns of parents and teachers.

If PAVE must go into PS 15 temporarily, it will not be for lack of trying to seek an alternative. We are still working to that end with local property owners and still hope that we can find a resolution that makes everyone happy.

Regarding Civic Builders, the organization that recently received federal money for charter schools, PAVE is actually working directly with Civic Builders. Actually, Spencer Robertson is visiting four or more potential permanent sites in Red Hook with Civic Builders next week.

I'll keep you updated on what we're doing from our end as our conversations continue.
